Blue Latitudes Foundation Interns

Natalie Chapman

Policy Research Intern

Natalie is pursuing a masters in Environmental Policy and Management at University of California Davis, where she is exploring the complex, yet necessary and fundamental, interactions between California’s general public, scientists, and policy officials. She first learned about the Blue Latitudes Foundation and the unique opportunity the team creates to merge conservation and industry during her undergraduate degree at California State University Channel Islands. Her internship reflects these mutual interests by focusing on the legal framework guiding decommissioning and the potential for reefing prolific structures. She plans to carry these valuable skills and perspectives into her future career endeavors. When she isn’t analyzing policy, Natalie rejuvenates by hiking, SCUBA diving, removing invasive species, tide-pooling, and authoring creative writing pieces.
